So much (too much) going on this week, what with Katelynn turning FOUR!YEARS!OLD! (prompting a trip to Incredible Headache Pizza), my favorite aunt turning sixty (prompting TWO! parties, one of which is a huge surprise party on Sunday), and school starting in twenty days.

Posting will likely be light for the next twenty days after which school will be starting.

Also, school starts in twenty days.

But because I have so much love oozing from my pores for all you beautiful people who still stop by everyday to see if I’ve had anything stupid new to say, I leave you today with links to two of my favorite posts that were read at the BlogHer Community Keynote. One serious, one funny. Like my two personalities.

It’s not the fall that kills you, it’s the sudden stop, by Mr Lady

High, by Jenny, The Bloggess

Go read. Seriously. You’ll laugh, You’ll cry. You’ll thank me later.

  1. Oh – school. School is from heaven. Praise God that there is such a place for our precious ones to go to be away from us for a while.
Also, good luck on the parties. And don’t kill yourself making everything perfect. =-)

    So when does school start?
    ;-)

  3. At least you’re not having a Power Rangers party! Did I tell you (or were you with me) that the lady at the PBS table does PR for Power Rangers and is sending me FREE stuff? I pushed to get it to arrive for Max’s 4th in 2 weeks. Bonus for not having to buy presents! Hahah.

    Hang in there.

Laughing and crying, both amazing posts. So about school starting…;)

  5. Hee! I wondered where those people came from. Thanks!

You are awesome! (And Mr. Lady totally made me cry. But in a good way. You know what I mean.)

  6. Thanks, the bloggess was so funny. I laughed out loud, and said the C word with a British accent out loud, thankfully my baby didn’t notice.

So glad you’re back! And FOUR — it goes SO fast, doesn’t it? Mine turned four in March, but I’d swear there was a teenager hiding in that little person.

  8. Happy birthday to all your loved ones. Have fun celebrating their big days.

And thank you for reminding me there’s an end coming soon to this heaven/hell we call summer break! I have never been so happy to see Back to School flyers filling my mailbox. Glad I’m not the only one that knows I probably will have to squeeze out a FAKE tear on that first day of school.

Wow! The Bloggess is soo funny. I husband didn’t think so, but I can totally relate! Haha! I do thank you for that freebie! LOL! 4 yrs old, i love that age. My son turned 14 yesterday and all he wanted was to watch the new Batman movie. No party??? nope, I was in heaven!
School starts here on Aug. 25th. So I’ve started buying school supplies! 6 kids, I have to start early!
